Patient Resources

At Siouxland Sleep Solutions, our priority is ensuring our patients feel comfortable during their visit. To facilitate this, we offer various resources for patients to peruse, helping them familiarize themselves with our office procedures.

Prepare for your first visit

During the first visit, our primary focus is on understanding your condition through a comprehensive examination of your airway, teeth, and jaw position, as well as other factors that may affect your sleep. We then review our findings with you, clearly explain our observations, and discuss a personalized treatment plan.

Insurance

Many patients can use their medical insurance to help cover the cost of sleep apnea therapy with an oral appliance. Dr. Rhea has extensive experience working with various plans and providers, and she is dedicated to finding ways to maximize your savings. If you don’t see your insurance provider above, please contact us for more information.

Not sure how your medical insurance works? Exploring your insurance online patient portal can be a helpful starting point! Our team members are also well-versed in insurance matters and are happy to help if needed.

Your medical insurance can be used for treatment in oral appliance therapy. Insurance coverage for sleep apnea varies significantly among policies and there are key aspects that apply to most plans we see for example:

  • Your deductible — before your insurance coverage takes effect, you may need to pay a predetermined amount out of pocket.
  • Pre-Authorization — your plan may require a pre-authorization prior to initiating treatment.
  • You will have either a Copay or Coinsurance — Copay is a fixed fee for a specific service, while coinsurance is a percentage of the service cost that you are responsible for. Insurance plans typically enforce one or the other but not both.

Financing

If you don’t have insurance, you don’t have to pay for your oral appliance all at once. Instead, you can spread out payments with little to no interest through CareCredit. We also accept Medicare to ensure you can receive the high-quality sleep apnea treatment you deserve.
